European microtechnology network grows: IVAM opens office in Brussels

The Microtechnology Network IVAM has achieved an important step towards internationalization with the foundation of its first office abroad in Brussels, Belgium, on January 1. At present, the association located in Dortmund, Germany, has 165 members from 12 countries worldwide. "With the office in Brussels we want to expand our global microtechnology network. This helps our members to enter international markets", states IVAM CEO Christine Neuy.





The bureau is a logical continuation of IVAM's latest international activities like the organization of workshops in Taiwan and Japan and the representation of members on international trade fairs. With the newly founded office in Brussels, IVAM wants to attract new partners and members from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal.


International service provider Kellen Europe, a spin-off of Ernst & Young, manages the new office. Concrete projects like publications and future trade fair participations of IVAM will be discussed at the next strategy meeting in Brussels on February 7.
